  • Congratulations on a fabulous tournament! It was a beautiful venue, great play, fun atmosphere, good sportsmanship - everything you'd want! You and Robin were so well organized, handled the conditions with grace, and had a great sense of humor. If Camilla is unable to join me in May, I will bring another friend and we'll cross our fingers that the flight won't get delayed then!

  • This is our 5th Racquet War tournament with you two. You and Robin have completely out done yourself on this one. The Rancho Mirage venue at the Omni Las Palmas was the bomb. Talk about a bucket list item. The tennis staff at the Omni were completely accommodating and we have to tip our racquets to them for wearing many hats during the tournament. Not sure how you organized 350 folks over 25 courts ....and made it operate efficiently and on-time, but y'all did it. The automated texts and emails were a cut above any other tournament we have ever been in. (The USTA doesn't hold a candle to you two!) The tennis was awesome and afforded us to meet other "tennis addicts" who we now call friends! They all agreed, that win or lose, meeting like-minded folks who like to compete in a fun-friendly environment is very unique. Social tennis with people of similar abilities makes for a great time (thanks to your Waterfall draw). Matter of fact, we've exchanged numbers and already have some future events planned....all thanks to Racquet War. Aside from the tennis, we did so many other things. We visited the Palm Springs Aerial Tram (#1 on TripAdvisor), went to Indian Wells Tennis Stadium (amazing), and we even took in a round of golf at the Omni. I'm not a golfer, but the 3 nine hole courses were just too beautiful to pass up. Thanks for pulling all the strings and making this happen. We're still pinching ourselves. Oh, here our pictures to prove that we aren't just making all this stuff up... Pictures. Great job and we will see you again.

  • Thank you for organizing such a fun weekend. Every opponent we played was so nice! Your team of pros and of course you and Robin were great. It reminded me why I fell in love with tennis in the first place.

  • We didn't win that cup I was hoping for but we had a lot of fun. We are already talking about going back next year and bringing more people. Your crew was great to work with and your organization was fantastic.

  • Janice Bittker
  • It was pleasure meeting you. KUDOS to you both for organizing a FANTASTIC tournament! We had THE BEST weekend and can't wait to come back next year. Many thanks again for bringing Racquet Wars to Southern California.

  • Joel and Carrell Hoffman
  • Both Carrel and I had a blast. We look forward doing it again maybe in May, but if not, definitely same time next year. The event was ran very professionally with no hitches. The level of tennis was not only top notch but we made a few friends along the way that we will be playing doubles with. Thank you for a great weekend. We can't wait til the next one.

  • Thank you so much. I had a blast. Didn't come home with a trophy but met and played against marvelous ladies. Venue was spectacular. We had the pasta buffet which was fabulous and then ate locally in Indian Wells at the Cliff House. Met wonderful new friends. You did a terrific job organizing this. The Omni was one of the best resorts I've stayed at especially the prices. It was so fun and I'm sure I'll see you guys next time with more local friends. Thanks again for all of your hard work. I've organized affairs such as this. and I know it isn't easy. You made it seem seamless.

  • The Racquet Wars Tournament in Amelia Island was my second one and even better than my first. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a weekend of well-organized tennis that is set up to assure you get to play lots of tennis with opponents who are as close to your level as possible. Both Oakley and Robin were gracious hosts and were genuinely concerned that everyone has a wonderful time. Amelia Plantation was a beautiful venue, and with lunch on the grounds, and an air conditioned room for all players to relax between matches, it was a wonderful weekend. If you are on a tennis league this tournament would be a great way to get your team together and spend a weekend together playing and great tennis and also staying at the Omni Hotel.

  • I just had one of the best weekends of tennis ever! My three friends and I participated in the Racquet war this past weekend at Amelia Island, Florida. The tournament was so well run and the competition was great. I met so many wonderful people and many new friends. It exceeded all my expectations! Robin and Oakley were so nice and made it a pleasure to play. The food was great and the price for lodging was such a bargain. I will be back next year for sure.

  • Although I don't play in many tournaments throughout the year, I find the Racquet War event that Oakley and Robin put on to be excellent. Between being extremely well organized, combined with a strong pool of competition it makes it one I will be keeping on the calendar in the future. If you have not played in one of their tournaments and you are a tennis enthusiast, I would highly recommend signing up for one. What a great way to spend a fall weekend doing something you love!

  • Highly recommend the Racquet Wars Tennis Tournament, especially after we had a fabulous experience with the facilities, groomed tennis courts and resort amenities. Very well organized and the food was excellent along with pictures and towel gift. If you want to play tennis for fun or competitively this is the place to play and/or party with friends (aka girls weekend!!! : ) This is my 2nd year attending and it just gets better.

  • Oakley and Robin, thank you for hosting such first rate tennis tournaments! We have thoroughly enjoyed the non-stop action at the Racquet War events. We really like the opportunity to play multiple events at various levels which allows us to meet so many other folks who enjoy playing tennis. You two really do make things move along smoothly. It also gives us a chance to play doubles with some friends that we rarely to get to see, so a tennis reunion of sorts for us! Not only have we had a great time at the tournaments, but we have also made some new friends. Please keep up the good work and keep us on your email lists.

  • Tampa was my first Racquet Wars tournament and I really hope I will be fortunate enough to play in many more. The event was very well organized and the format worked really well. There was plenty of tennis for everyone and it was really obvious that we were all there purely for the love of the game. There was a lot of energy! Oakley and his team did a fab job keeping things moving along and letting you know where you needed to be! The Saddlebrook Resort was a good choice of venue. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the amenities of the hotel were ideal for such an event. Overall a great time! I'm already looking forward to the next one.

  • Racquet Wars in Tampa was my first-ever tournament .... and what a blast it was! It was organized so well, all the matches seemed to run smoothly and the people on and off the courts were terrific. Saddlebrook Resort was the perfect setting to play, relax and meet some wonderful ""tennis people"". Sign me up for next year!

  • Racquet Wars was a great tennis event to participate in with good players from all over Florida. We had a group of six friends who went and we will all return next year! It was well organized.

  • Jerry Cutchens
  • I have played in countless tennis tournaments over the years. Racquet War is undoubtedly my new favorite tournament!! The tennis competition was great and the tournament management was even better!

  • Kevin Boldt
  • Of all the tournaments I have played in the Memphis area in the past three years, the tournaments you held were the most smoothly run. Match times were set so that players had little, to no, wait time before entering the courts. Even with the large draws, you were able to accept requests for first match times and to my knowledge granted all requests. The meals and snacks were also a nice perk I was not used to seeing at previous tournaments. I had great tennis weekends at each of the three tournaments you held.

  • Christian Mitchell (Teaching Pro)
  • The tennis tournaments that these guys put together were first class all the way around. Not only did they take care of you with drinks and food for the whole weekend but the tournaments all together ran without a hitch and you could always count on doing more playing than sitting around and waiting for a court. Plus, they were always willing to work with you if you had scheduling conflicts, which for me, made playing in a tournament for the whole weekend a lot more appealing. Also really liked the t-shirt and trophy designs. These guys put on a great tournament!

  • Shannan McWaters
  • I have played in a lot of tournaments since I started tennis in 2003. The tournament organized by Robin and Oakley is not only the largest draw I have ever seen, it was the most organized. My matches went on time, there were always lots of people watching and socializing in between... Not to mention they fed us very well. Any tennis community would be priveleged to have such a first class tournament come to their area.

  • Sherrie Nischwitz
  • There is nothing like playing a tournament that is extremely organized and well thought-out...this is what I experienced while playing in the tournaments run by Robin and Oakley this past year. The competition was strong, the atmosphere was fun and the flow of play-time was smooth. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, the cute women's cut t-shirt and the engraved mint julep cups!
