1. Stepping onto the Court for the First Time
There’s nothing quite like your first Racquet War. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a partner, that moment when you check in, get your welcome packet, and see the courts bustling with activity sets the tone for a weekend you won’t forget. Don’t worry if you’re nervous — you’ll quickly realize everyone’s here for the same reason: to play, connect, and have fun.
2. Pack More Than Just Tennis Shoes
Sure, racquets and gear are a must — but don’t forget comfy clothes for downtime, snacks, sunscreen, and maybe even a notebook for names and memories. Many players say their favorite part isn’t the matches, but the laughter between them.
3. It’s Okay Not to Know Everything
You don’t need tournament experience to enjoy Racquet War. The format is beginner-friendly, and our team is always around to help. The Racquet War staff connects with you from the time you register and will be there every step of the way. We always update anything you need to know online and you can always call or text us. We go over the whole tournament before your first match. Ask questions, meet fellow players, and soak it all in. Everyone started somewhere — you’re in great company.
4. Explore the Area
Our tournament weekends are held in some pretty amazing places. If you’re arriving early or staying late, take advantage of local restaurants, beaches, or hiking trails. We have matches Sunday so try to get a flight out later that night or stay until monday. Make a full vacation out of it!

5. Capture the Moments (But Be Present)
Yes, take photos — you’ll want to remember this! But don’t be afraid to put the phone away and cheer others on, strike up conversations, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. These weekends go by fast.
